nothing to do with 365 challenge..but it’s owls <3 and I made them…so it’s creative and can be thought of as inspiration from this challenge ;)
Goal: Work with a collection of some sort
I used beads because I don’t really have a special collection big enough to make an owl, but this turned out all right! I did this reeeeally late one night so late….it might be considered the next day…but I still counted it :P
this one looked more puffin then penguin….i’m going no where…
Goal: take a five minute walk, then make something using whatever materials are available, leave it there after you’re finished!
It’s a good thing I have woods near by so this wasn’t too hard, and it was nice to go walk when the weather was behaving well.
…is it just me or do my owl’s keep resulting in penguins?
Okay so since I just recently went through the weekend and found that I had NO Time to do the daily creative things, the plan will be this…post a daily thing for every week day….and then if I have time I will post things on weekend :)
Don’t worry! I did the day for yesterday and I’m going to do the one for today, I just didn’t have time to upload pictures :) so I will later tonight :)
Goal: Make something out of paper, without the use of scissors or glue and you can’t draw on it.
All in all I was happy with the results, as soon as I saw this prompt I knew I was going to be tearing a white page to cause those frayed edges thus creating a feathery effect, it’s not exactly what I pictured, but I found it hard to scoop the white scraps into a pile and toss it in the recycling bin after making the cute little owl. So far this is my favorite product! :)
PS: don’t mind the sticker beneath the owl! I had to create it on a black surface(to make the white pop) and the only thing available was my laptop :P
Goal: To use your favorite animal and use it as inspiration today.
Once again, the creativity isn’t doing too well…probably because I have piles of homework hungrily staring at me as I doodled this. Tomorrow’s activity seems to be more creative so I’m excited for that!
As you can see that owl has one grumpy face, it’s probably reflecting my view on the weather right now…
Goal: Make something that fits in the palm of your hand using only materials in your immediate environment.
This is the first day! Yes I was supposed to start yesterday but… this just means I will have to continue one day after next year! So…I know this isn’t the best in the world but don’t worry the creativity juices should start flowing soon!
I used sharpie, a rubber band, a bottle cap, a bead, and a button, those things seem pretty random but I tend to keep everything, I’m a hoarder. :P
*the picture quality will be better in future posts!
So if you are seeing this, you have stumbled upon my post or blog! This blog is going to be a track of my progress on “A Daily Creativity Journal 365” by Noah Scalin. If you are unfamiliar with this book, it gives you 365 ideas or things to do, and the goal is to pick a medium or subject to tie in to each mini project. The subject I chose was owls, so in each project I’m going to include a part of an owl or the whole thing such as a feather or beak! I hope you join me on this journey…I’m going to need all the support I can get to inspire me and to keep me going.
